Anybody ever do it? I have a door but the skin is questionable.. If I get it done what would I expect to pay? Also, know of any place in CT that would do it?

It's not as hard as you might think. Look at Martin Sr's "basics of basics" posts at the top of this message board and you'll find a lot of useful info.

I found that a hockey puck makes a good dolly for preventing damage on the outside of the skin, and that structural adhesive works better than tack welding for holding the panels in place. It is strong as hell and more corrosion resistant than welds. I only welded the top brace into the skin. One caution, once the glue cures, its all over!! You won't be able to get the skin to slide on the door frame. You have less than an hour, so make sure it all fits nice before the adhesive cures up!

The MartinSR method worked well for me. I used some door skin pliers (Eastwood) to crimp the panel down on the door. The results are ok but the inside edge of the skin has some wrinkles. I think the hammer and dolley approach is better.
Where can I find a hockey puck in the Tampa Bay area?

I have never used a hockey puck but have used the neat home made on I mention in the "Basics". I think I mention it anyway graemlins/clonk.gif . It is a 2 3/4"X4" block of wood with a 3M 05517 rubber squeegee glued to it.
