How does one go about preparing the seams between the quarters and the panel under the rear window? Mine is cracking there.

Also can I fix that area and just repaint the filler panel and part of the quarters?

I sanded as much of the original "suff " out and put in bodyfiller( most would probably not agree with this)then put in a bead of 3M fast n firm seam sealer. I used the bodyfiller so the seam sealer wasn't too thick. As far as painting just the upper rear body panel and the top of the quarter that would depend alot on the color and how good you are at blending in the sail panel.
