how much horse power and lb of torque does hypertech add to a 1996 LT1 ?

Some of those hypertech units do very little. Automatic transmission shift points and speedo calibration are examples. I'm not certain you can do stuff like alter the spark and fuel maps. Does anyone know differently?

It reprograms the computer for a richer mixture and also bumps up the timing thats the reason they give you a cooler t-stat.

The transmission part of the programs the shifts to be harder like a shift kit and can also change what rpm the transmission shifts at.
