Just wondering if anyone out there has a somewhat creative paint job. The stripes look good, but have really been done to death. Maybe a two tone job, just looking for ideas.

Camaro_Kyle Mar 27th, 05, 09:30 AM I may have watched one to many overhaulin' episodes, but I gotta be honest, two-tone is now one of my favorite styles of paint, if done properly and with taste. I tend to think that the style of paint you choose should reflect the direction you are going with the car. Original, race, pro-touring, pro-street, or nostalgia-type race (i.e. Smokey Yunick, Trans Am). But, since it is your car, the desicion is completely up to you. I am somewhat of a hypocrite when I say that Z/28 stripes are being way overdone, especially on non-Z/28 and non-pace cars. My pop is still working on his 68 and as it gets closer to paint, we are still trying to think of unique ideas. I have thougt about stripes (ghost, patterns, etc.), two-tone, bumble bee (ghost, patterns), even thought about using flat paints for sectinons of the car. I would say search all over the internet since it can give you some good ideas, but the ultimate desicion is up to you. Hope this helps. Kyle canadianbacon Mar 27th, 05, 10:41 AM i agree, maybe a little too much overhaulin haha. The two toned paint job they did on the chevelle was my favorite (66 chevelle i think). But yah, i've been trying to look for pictures...but almost all the cars i find have the stripes... i guess camaro owners don't stray too far from the norm =P Nantooch Mar 27th, 05, 10:27 PM They havent seen my hood lately then. Had the bumble bee, but since the car isnt stock and I wanted it to be my own.. I drew out the design for the painters to use.
