I'm a few months away from paint but it's not too early to start asking about this... Does anyone have pictures of a 67 or 68 with the bullit shaped mirrors that were common on 70's GM cars? I have a set that I'm thinking of using. What makes them unusual is that they are chrome and in perfect shape because they have never been used. I've seen 69's with them (painted, not chrome) and like them but I'm not sure about the 68 body lines. Pictures? Comments?
Thanks,
Roy

I hate the bullet mirrors on my 69. I am going back with originals when I redo mine.

I am opposite of Kelly, I think the bullet mirrors look good on first generation cars. It's all a matter of personal preference.
I would like to put a set on mine, but have not spoken with anyone yet about the difficulty in adapting the driver's side mirror adjuster that mounts to the inside door panel. How is yours done?

I'm installing power door locks as well. I'll be using commonly rubber billows that you can see in most newer GM cars. The one's I'm using came out of a Fiero. The third gen Camaros are the same.
If you look closly in the door jamb area of your first gen, between the upper and lower hinges, you'll notice a dimple. That dimple coresponds the a dimple in the door as well. I'm using a hole saw to match the holes in the donor then insert the bellows. After that, it's a simple matter of routing the cable.

bullet mirrors are the only way to go. They give a first gen camaro much better styling I think. The bullets use a similar mounting bracket. These brackes are avalable in the after-market. Good luck
