I have recently replaced my front and rear springs on my 69 camaro. Just wondering if it's worth it to list them in the classifieds or not. The fronts are for a V8 car and the rears are monos.

View Full Version : Stock springs worth it or not? tgifford5 Mar 25th, 07, 07:56 AM I have recently replaced my front and rear springs on my 69 camaro. Pacecarjeff Mar 25th, 07, 10:44 AM The repo leaf springs do not look the same as the originals. Someone may want your rears - not much value to the fronts. If they are cheap - I would buy them. I have passed at the junk yard, because they take time to get off. But yours are already loose. ;) Fred Ficarra Mar 25th, 07, 02:25 PM Jeff!!!!!? You have 1st gens in junk yards!? Pacecarjeff Mar 25th, 07, 03:07 PM Jeff!!!!!? You have 1st gens in junk yards!? Used to be - not so much anymore. EVERYTHING IS GONE NOW. Very sad . Up untill 2003, there was a place here called Baileys Camaros - he had 40 or so wrecked 1st gens and Firebirds. he was expensive, but he had a lot of stuff. He retired -and crushed everything (I got what I could -it happened real fast) Recently - about 8 months ago.- There was a 67 Firebird I pulled the spiral shocks :D the radio, a bunch of other A/C stuff. I wanted the mono leafs, because i had put replacements on my 67 pacecar back in the 90's - I just threw away the originals  But it just was not worth laying on my back in the mud, and cutting all the bolts off - so I left them. I always wanted a set just to have with the car, in case I ever restored her. Finally bought a set last week from gotsnappy here on TC. threw them in up my attic. He shipped them to me, and they were very clean - no mud  No -- for the most part the days of finding old cars in the junk yards are gone - I am starting to realise that fact. A shame really. tgifford5 Mar 25th, 07, 04:39 PM I have recently replaced my front and rear springs on my 69 camaro. Just wondering if it's worth it to list them in the classifieds or not.
