Will a 14" steel rim fit over disc brakes? Looking to go with dog dish hubcaps but am hearing they will only work as 15"s......Thanks alot...Alan

What year car? Factory brakes? A 14 x 7 rally wheel fit just fine on my 69 with factory front discs.

I just pulled off a set of 14x7, 4.5bs rallys off of my 69 coupe. I have front disc brakes and had no problems with them at all. The code on them is YJ. Which I believe are for 350 SS with disc brakes. They have good rubber on them if interested.

XG code 14 x 6 wheels will work over factory disc or the YJ code for I think 14 x 7. I converted to disc from drum and just went through that because I had 14 x 6 XN and they would not work. Had to find XG wheels.

A 14" rally will also work with 4 piston calipers for vettes and 67-68 GM intermediates. as a matter of fact the rally was designed for the above mentioned applications.
So you can use a 14" rally and it should accept a dog dish hubcap.

I had NO luck! I have the 14x7 SS rims AND the 14x7 rallyes. They didn't fit; had to convert to 15 inch rallys.
