I've been trying to stop the many leak's my 350 trans has and one of them is the trans filler tube. I bought a new Hugh's filler tube to replace the old one. Here's the problem how the heck do you get the old tube off, I can't even get my hand back in there where it looks like it might be bolted to the trans/motor bolts. any advise would be appreciated

You might have a chance with a ratcheting box end, but there's not a lot of room back there. If that doesn't work, well.. you don't want to know. :-)

well let's here it. I'm hoping if I lower the rear of the tranny by loosening motor mounts and removing exhaust, this may give me some clearance. I'm dreading the thought of having to pull the motor and trans to get access. It sounds like over kill to me. I'm sure a tranny shop doesn't have to pull the motor to get to the trans.

remove your air cleaner then pull your distribtor that will give you room. I you want to get at it from the top.

its either bolted to the top or middle bolt on right side a 9/16 swivel and a looongg extension like 30-40 inches long should get no problem if not take out cross member than you will get it.
