Yes, if I remember John also has a Red Chevelle right? The three together - yellow orange red, look fantastic in pictures.

John, I know you didn't solicit opinions - but the way the wheels are setup in the above pics is what I'd go with. The daisy shape spokes look best on the '69 imo

Good luck with the shoot!

Edit: I see your sig now mentions the Chevelle... you're one lucky lucky man!

Talked to the editor this morning...now he says he'll shoot the Chevelle too if he has time.TIME...?I'll have no frickin time to sleep detailing THREE cars!Oh well...we should all have such problems.

I'm a long time fan of the American Racing 200S style on your '69. Fell in love with them after seeing "Two Lane Blacktop" way back when. I'd say go with the wheels in the current picts for both cars. Congrads on having your cars in the mag. Jim

I didn't read your comments until now but that was exactly my plan...

Guys...today was an absolutely grand day with a capitol "G"!:hurray: Henry De Los Santos was very prompt and gracious and has an excellent eye for detail. We spent almost 2 hrs shooting the '69Z and I brought my brother-in-law along and good thing...he and I held the mirror shade which looks like a giant windshield shade but you use it to direct light...to help with the photographs.Henry must have shot 80-85 pics of this car an we were both simply amazed at what we saw in his viewfinder...of course at around $8K for just the main body (Canon,1-2 yrs old),the difference in mine and his are like night & day...oh well, here goes:

Guy works for CHP...you just KNOW he aint renting no Ford.:noway:

'70 Z/28 or '70 SS454?

Didn't have time for both so we flipped a coin and shot the '70Z.I would have preferred to have the 18" AR CL205's from the Chevelle on it but it is what it is and I'm not gonna sweat it.By now it was 12:30 and the sun was beating directly down on us,we had a devil of a time trying to find the right shade. Finally,we ended up in front of Macy's here in Monterey...blocking traffic.

Sweet shots & smokin rides!

You had mentioned earlier about wheel selections... you ran them tight imo! I was going to chime in but lost the thread till toady. The butterflies look better on 70's era than 60's era imo. I have the same ones on my 68 camaro (for now!), but seeing the other wheels on your 69 has me hooked.

Needless to say,the response been overwhelming...people really seem to like that little yellow Camaro.

Here's what I've done wheel-wise with my cars.I ordered a pair of AR 200S's in 17x9.5 (5.5" b/s) w/Nitto N555 285/40 rubber.They will probably go on my '70 Z/28 but to start,I put them on my SS454:
