Can you use the tail light housings of a 1967 Coupe, to house the 1968 RS red lenses and outer chrome piece? The guy before me put a 67 Chrome/lense setup to limit the holes he'd have to drill on the rear lower panel (no white Backup assbly in lower panel location under the bumper). Looks like a 67 Coupe from the rear....really stupid.

Baby, saw your pics, really nice ride, carl's is sweet also. The dif between rear taillight housing is center piece on 68. Meaning the 68 had a center divider between red & clear. 67's did'nt. You can use 67 bezel, but I think you'll have to order 67 RS lens to match. I have 67 RS, trying to figure out way to get pics on site. Chris is working on it.

My site has pics of it, (I think?) if not give me a few days and I can post some pics. (just borrowed the digital camera From work) and I have TONS of new pics to post.. my ride is starting to look oh so nice now compared to when I first got it...
Also remember that on a 67 R/S the rear lights are on the lower valance below the rear bumper. the 68 Coup they are integrated into the taillight assy housing.and while thumbing through my assembly manual, it seems that the Coup's taillight housing *(big metal piece that the lense goes into) has (2) less bolts than the 67 R/S

Roger that Steve and Chris. Thats what I suspected have the new red lenses here and chrome is coming should fit right in, then its just a matter of getting the Reverse Lights assemblys drilled in. Thanks.

Baby,
I don't know about the housing interchangability. I wouldn't imagine they are all that different.
Which '68 outer chome are you using? New (which type), used, etc.
