A friend is racing his '67 Camaro in a vintage race (and is doing quite well!) but the club who is organizing the races in Europe are being very tough on the rules...

Everything must go according the rules, which is logical, but they must also look at the rules of the original Trans-am / can-am / etc. races, but because almost nothing is documented about these rules they mostly say nothing is alowed.

He has been doing everything according to the 'official' SCCA rules he had heard, but still they are being very hard on him saying some of the rules were not done in the '60-'70s...

Now we are trying to find information (mostly on engines) of motorsports in these era's like TA, CanAm, etc., FIA homoligations etc. or books with information on these things to document everything what was done back then(like if aluminium heads were homologized or not etc.)

I am going to order a few books:
Trans-Am, the pony car wars 1966 to 1972
Camaro Untold Secrets 1967-1969

If someone has some information or names of other books which have information on what was legal in these races and what not, it would be very helpful!

Sorry if I have written things a bit stragely but I'm in a hurry and I am Dutch :D

Thanks!

David
