Unless you can find a bodyman as old as me that knows how to use lead, your best bet is a good quality plastic filler. Just make SURE that the entire area is thoroghly clean.

I used "All-METAL" filler then skim coated with a polyester finishing filler. It came out great even with my poor filler skills.

Toby, I'm in the same situation and want to use lead. I have the lead and the torch but how do you get the lead to stick? (I know nothing about leading)

You need tinning butter, check out eastwood for videos and supplies.

Mike and Panther;

Toby and others have relied to other posts on this, such as this one ( http://www.camaros.net/cgi-bin/forum/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=3;t=001395 ) with great info on leading and the steps it takes to neutralize the tinning acids before you paint to prevent problems.
These cars had leaded seams from the factory so it is part of their legacy to continue this way of maintaining them and it's a fun skill to learn.
