I got a quote from Anobrite of $2,500 - $3,000 to restore all of the body trim for a 68RS (excluding bumpers). This includes all metal trim parts for: grill, RS side & door moldings, wheel well moldings, door handles, rear tail lights, backup lights, side marker lights, wiper arms, lower windsheild trim, misc emblems & rally wheel rings (not the center caps, just the rings).

My experience has been that repro parts seldom have the same level of quality, fit & finish as original, and I'd like to retain original wherever reasonable, but the price tag seems a bit steep. So, long preamble to short question: For body trim, what has your experience been with repro parts? Are there some parts (e.g., emblems) that are of decent quality and just not worth the cost of restoration?

I would try the one's from Rick's as they offer no time limit refund. All you would lose is shipping charges.

For stainless trim moldings the going rate is anywhere from $12.00 to $14.00 a linear foot for repair and polishing. Got mine for $13/ft and it looked better than the original. I am not sure about pricing on trim rings, tail and side marker lights though.
