Guys, I was a kid back in 1978 & 1979 but man do I remember some FUUUGGGLLLY @$$$$ cars on the used car lots back in 1987-1989. People did some really ugly things to GM cars back in 1978 & 1979 along with 1980 & 1981 and heck most of the 1980's as well. Alot of Corvette's between 1978-1982 were uglified to the max!!

I think in this case a Rolls Royce & a Corvette had sex, and this is their offspring. I remember the velour interiors & people also had velour wall paper in their houses. For the Love of God, I was only 11 years old during that time and I hated the clothes & look of this era & music too for the most part.

I thought you folks being First Gen enthusiasts had good taste in great cars. I think that car is very sweet looking. In fact after my Camaro and Firebird i would love to own one of those.

I've seen worse things done to Camaros unfortunately.

These cars were a direct effect of no horsepower in the lat 70's. 150 H.P. cars drove some men crazy. All of the choked & smogged engines coming out of detroit at the time made some guy's lose their minds. These cars are the result of those trying times we had to live through.
Add a little disco & polyester with one of these cars, and you were close to being institutionalized.
