I have a 327 that came from a 1963 Corvette, but not necessarily an original block. I bought it for the 461X heads.

The numbers are
3782870 casting number
k271 casting date
J185228 on front pad
FII29SB on front pad

I've had a lot of 870 blocks before, but I don't know anything about the front pad numbers other than I think it is a Flint casting. The motor has the Corvette pan still, is .60 over and was running when it was pulled. Any idea what I have?

"SB" = 1962 to 1964 Big Car, 300hp/327, P/G trans, 4-barrel carb.

Sorry, not a 'Vette motor but the same as back then.

Thanks for the quick decode. I will probably pull the pan off for and try to sell or trade it. The rest of the motor is an unknown and not something I would ever rebuild since it is .60 over.
