If you're talkin' about the mirror loses its adjustment real quickly, I have that problem on my 68. I posed the question here sometime ago. One suggestion was to put clear silicon calk around the stem and work it back into the holder. Still haven't tried this but if I do I'll let you know.

Make sure you have the mirror adjusted exactly how you want it and then put some type of glue in it. I did it with Elmer's wood glue and it worked fine for a while. I didn't try anything stronger as I bought a new mirror because it was old and cruddy anyway. Make sure you cover your paint in case a little were to drop out.

Anyone had success with fixing a loose mirror? Mine droops and is really annoying. I was thinking about using a little blue locktite and see if that helps. Any other ideas?
