I am in the process of removing my 1/4. Will a propane torch be enough to melt the lead out?? Also the drip rails.....how are they attached. Any help on this would be much appreciated.:):beers:

Yes, a propane torch will work. I can't answer your second question as I still haven't gotten that far.

the drip rails are spot welded under the roof skin

How does the 1/4 separate from the drip rail. Is it spot welded also? :)

It has tiny spot welds down in the drip rail channel...they aren't much trouble to break lose or grind out.

A propane torch will melt the lead out easily --- I used a grinder and cutting wheel to remove the quarter panel from the drip rail channel --- leave about a 1/4 inch of the quarter panel so you can get a good alignment when you go to put the replacement panel back on -- just remember to cut out that last 1/4 inch section before final assembly.
