It looks like I am finally in the home stretch with the panel replacement on my 67, for those of you that were following my story.

My body guy mistakenly did not order the roof support when he ordered the rest of my pieces, so we've been "waiting on" those for about two weeks. They finally arrived from Dynacorn, and he told me that the pieces shipped did not include the side support pieces (for lack of a better term) - the pieces that weld up to the drip rails. Mine are badly rusted and I want them replaced. His supplier told him that what he ordered was their standard roof support replacement kit, and they didn't have the side pieces.

I didn't see anything on Dynacorn's site that resembled what I am looking for(www.dynacorn.com (http://www.dynacorn.com)), but in Rick's catalog, page 187, they list "roof drip rail and pillar post panels." that look correct, with the actual rails listed as "coming." Classic Industries doesn't list these pieces in the catalog I have (2006).

Are these correct? Has anyone ordered and/or replaced these?

This is the last hurdle in getting my car back - any help would be most appreciated.

can you please describe exactly what you are trying to replace, I'm having a hard time understanding. Are you looking for the actual drip rails that are sandwiched between the roof skin and the roof rail?

If you are talking about the inside roof piece that the drip rails weld on to, then I think you are out of luck. I don't think that piece is available except from a donar car. If you are talking just about the drip rails those are now available and are fairly easy to put on. See the 2 pictures attached that show what I think you are referring to and me welding on the drip rails to this piece.

Sorry for the miscues, I just don't know what to call these pieces. If you look at the roof support structure, it looks like a big digital "8" :

What I am talking about are the 'vertical' sides of the "8". I am not sure if this is the piece to which the drip rails weld up, as in Fladoan's pics, but they are the pieces to which the roof cross supports weld to. Does that make any more sense? :)

I have blow-through on these pieces and down in the rain gutter itself; in fact, the undersides of the window channel (where the side and quarter windows meet the body) are blown through in places too.

My body guy claims that they can reconstruct those areas if parts are unavailble. After seeing the piece they had to fab for underneath the rear package tray, I'm beginning to believe him - it was gorgeous (albeit now unseen.)
