Has anybody tried the 3-stage turbine Accuspray hvlp system that Eastwood sells?
I'm consedering it to paint Dupont basecoat/clearcoat paints. I've added a new water filter to my compressor but I'm still getting moisture (bubbles) in my paint. I thought this system would eliminate any contaminants in the air. I didn't know if the systems works well. It's rated a 85cfm@5 psi. I'm currently painting at 10 psi.

Thanks for the info. Their systems looks less expensive than Eastwood. What size turbine do you use and do you paint clearcoats with it? Do you feel it generates enough air pressure?

I have there model tp-85, Pressure wise it is fine, with some of the two stage paints (base clears) you have to play with there nozzle/needle/aircap sizes. PPG products spray excellent with this system using the 1.4mm air cap and the 1.0 needle/nozzle. If your going to use dupont, martinsr or acme I would recommend the 1.4mm needle/nozzle and aircap. I painted a ford pickup including jambs using 3/4 gallon of base and 3/4 or a little better of clear.A Mid 80's Grand prix only took about a gallon of laquer (including the jambs) You do have to get a feel for these systems do to high volume being applied it sprays quite a bit different then the conventional guns but after a little practice you will love them.
