I am getting close to having the front end completely off my Camaro. Which means its almost time to sandblast, will I be ok to sandblast the firewall, or should I use other means to clean it up?

I did mine with know problems. one thing sand blasting sand comes in different grades/size particles so i would use a fine to medium size. The larger the particles the deeper the pits it will leave.

Go for it.... just protect the trim tag with layers of heavy tape or something. It's soft and will get destroyed otherwise.

use extra fine sand, cut back the pressure on the pot at the air source, move the blast nozle zone to zone and do not stay in one place to blast. this work on most parts and body panels. practice in areas like the fire wall or used parts or body panels to insure safe blast products. old blast man with all pro 68 502.

The only comment I would add is to double duck tape all the holes in the firewall if you don't want all the grit getting into the interior of the car.

get it media blasted with plastic media, a lot easier on the metal.
