Anyone used this stuff for placing badging on? I don't want to drill holes so i am told that this is an option. Have to cut off the little posts that the nuts go on and cut the tape to fit but........

Either way, I would suggest getting the templates that some of the parts companies are selling. That way at least they'll be positioned correctly. Good luck! 69L65-4spd Apr 14th, 07, 03:11 PM I used the 3M trim adhesive tape to put on the Camaro emblems on the front fenders. Just no way to get the nuts on the back without taking the fender off. Been on there several years now. I used an exacto knife with a new blade to trim it. Put the tape on the back of the emblem first then trim it sorta concave if that makes sense. You see less of the tape that way. Jim hurdslake Apr 15th, 07, 08:03 AM Thanks Jim. I'm considering the tape for the same reason - have to take off the inner fender to get at the nuts. Also........hate drilling holes - breaks the paint bond and only asks for trouble down the road. I'tt try your mehtod as I have heard others doing it as well. |
