View Full Version : Looking for production info
sspecialk Apr 26th, 07, 06:23 AM I have seen somewhere on the net a list of production numbers/percentage of cars that got different options/ colors etc. Does anyone know where to find this info. Basically looking at options and how rare some are. Thanks
bigblockpace Apr 26th, 07, 06:40 AM Try the camaro Research web site! I believe it may be listed over there.
parkbrau Apr 26th, 07, 07:19 AM Try this link out:

Kurt S Apr 26th, 07, 08:05 AM Color info is http://www.camaros.org/exterior.shtml#ColorPercentages
Hylton Apr 26th, 07, 08:08 AM Kurt, have the color percentages changed at all over the years as you have been getting more cars registered in the DB?
bobjs67rsss Apr 26th, 07, 08:18 AM Scott, what info ya looking for? The Camaro White Book by Mike Antonicks has #s like power convert top in 67.... 11,783 cars at the cost of $52.70 and manual disc brakes 205 cars at a cost of $105.35 and axle 273:1... 539 cars at a cost of $2.15...Bob
Kurt S Apr 26th, 07, 07:21 PM Bob,
The RPO sheet (linked above) has that info and more, and it's a mouse-click away.
Kurt, have the color percentages changed at all over the years as you have been getting more cars registered in the DB?
Not by much. I've recalculated the #'s recently and they had only changed by a little bit.
sspecialk Apr 27th, 07, 11:55 AM What i am really looking for is a nice 69 camaro with 4 speed, no air, 12 bolt. Solid/no rust car is main objective. Man it is a struggle to find something out there these days. I am in the NC area and travel the southeast. IF you know of anything let me know.
Hylton Apr 27th, 07, 12:59 PM You need a minimum of 20k to buy something like that which is rust free. It only goes up from there depending on the model and options. Good luck!
sspecialk Apr 27th, 07, 08:50 PM From what i have been seeing double that doesn't buy much more than a project.
sspecialk May 21st, 07, 02:25 PM Well I finally found a car. Probably not exactly what I would have been thinking I would get but a nice piece none the less. I found a car with 42K original miles and the car is virtually untouched. It was purchased from the original owner and I have the original title in hand. I guess that is what makes it a neat car to me. It is a X11 car with the original 307/glide combo. Plain Jane to say the least. I will probably pull the 307/glide/10 bolt and put in a 350/4 speed/12 bolt along with disc brakes. The car is super solid with the exception of the right rear qtr which either has been hit at some point or may have had a rust issue. The rest of the car floors, trunk is excellent. I've got the cowl data, is there some place on the site to place it?
Unreal May 21st, 07, 07:48 PM I'd save the original driveline, if you can spare the room. I know the 350/4 speed is a great package, but leave your options open in the event you ever want to go back to original.
sspecialk May 21st, 07, 08:37 PM Oh you bet ya I will. I have watched these cars over the years and ones that have a fully matched drive train, no matter the combo, do real well. I'm sure that will continue down the road
sc68z28 May 21st, 07, 08:52 PM Well I finally found a car.

Congrates to you, on your find:hurray:
Post it right here:thumbsup:
