My engine compartment is painted in VHT High Temp Satin Black paint (Matches GM Satin Black). Does anyone make a brush on paint to match this color and has anyone used brush on paint to detail under the hood? I figured using a foam brush would make a nice smooth finish with no brush marks. I need to do some touch-up where overspray came in while painting the body. I spent 6 hours yesterday covering the entire car, masking areas and just refinishing the compartment between the radiator and front header panel using spray paint. Looks beautiful, but made a mess of the garage (and me!). Any suggestions about a brush on paint? Thanks! Bill

I don't know how much you need to brush but I have sprayed the rattle can into a container and brushed it on many times. Just a thought.

I used Rustolium 7777 on the firewall, inner fenders, braces, brackets, undercarriage, etc, etc....anything that called for semigloss, or 60% gloss.
I weighed the ease of fixing damage against the durability of alternatives, and went with the Rustolium.

Rustoleum 7777 sounds like just what I need. Thanks again! Bill

Is the Rustoleum 7777 out of ratttle can? If so how long would it last compared to having shot with a spray gun?

Just answered my own question by reading the fine print. It does make since down the road you could touch it up, as needed, with the rattle can. Not sure what I'll do, since my motor is out. jrat

You can buy 7777 in rattle can, quarts and gallons.
