I have looked at many web sites and can not decode this vin off the engine block:

Casting: 3782870
Heads: 3890462

Vin stamped on block F117573 FI004RB

Any ideas?

F= Flint MI assy plant (they built fullsize Chevrolets)
117573 = last 6 digits of VIN

F= Flint engine
I004 = Oct 4
RB = ?

3782870 = 327 engine block used in Full sized, Chevelle and corvette

Judging by the VIN derivative, it is out of a Fullsized 64 or earlier Chevrolet

RB is a 62-64 Full Size 327/300 High Performance with a Manual Transmission.
