Not sure where you are coming up with the 12A ??? would that be from the VIN....if so, he is already saying that the TAG is NOT original to the car....Thus the TAG could be real as long as it has a mid DEC or later date code....

Will agree with this , The car is 2215 units from my 12 A and I was denied X codes. Can anyone get a blowup of that cowl tag?

No x code, no D80. It is a 12A car by the VIN.

The tag looks like a repop in the picture of the brake booster.
It is not original to this car if that is the VIN.

I dont even need a blown up picture to be able to tell that tags a fake. Wrong exhaust manifolds too....hmm...you guys are letting me get good at this...LOL :D

Wrong exhaust? It has the wrong exhaust manifolds, but the exhaust system looks correct to me. Should have AIR manifolds and smog pump.

Everyone already knows that the tag does not belong on the car...thats what this whole thread is about.....that he as at least being honest in saying that this is not a true Z-28 threfore the tag (real or not) does not go with this car....I was just stating that there is no need to match a VIN to try prove otherwise when he is already telling us the entire car is a fake....

Sorry I upset you. I was just stating the facts that the car was a 12 A car. Didnt seem like you were convinced :confused: .

Then you say it could be a real tag as long as it is mid Dec or later. D80 was not on the tag until quite a bit later. Sorry i didnt explain that more clearly.

I am disputing that it is even a real tag.
Now I'll go lay by my dish.:o
