Got it down on all four tires tonight -- disc brakes are on, brake lines have been run, sway bar, tie rods and drag link installed

The new multi-leaf springs give the car that good ole' jacked up rear end stance. Hopefully the springs will drop a little now that there is some weight on them.

I kinda like the custom look of the inner fenderwells and firewall painted the same color as the body. I did it with my 70 Nova (see below)

Since my Camaro is not a numbers matching original, I decided to go with the same approach. I'm working hard to get the car finished so I can enjoy driving it. :)

Doug,

I have enjoyed watching the progress on your car, but I'm afraid that I must have missed what it is that you are building. I guess I'm curious what the car was originally and where you're headed with it.

The progress looks great and you're definitely moving right along with it!

PaulM -- thanks. Check the "69 Camaro" part of my sig and you'll see a picture of the car when I purchased it. Its a X44 base model car that had Z/28 badges on it and was in pretty rough shape. The project is nothing more than to fix all the things that needed repair (including all the sheetmetal!), finish it off as an SS clone and enjoy driving it. With a little more hard work it should turn out OK, but its certainly not one of the high-dollar, number matching, BJ auction type cars. ;)

Thanks Doug! I'm sure that it will turn out great!

Doug-a few questions about the wheels-they look like 15x7 front and 15x8 rear? Where did you get the trim rings for them? I prefer the Corvette style like those, with a radius to them vs.a sharp angle like the originals.

Peter,
Yep the wheels are 15x7 and 15x8 although I'm probably going to replace them with something else after I get the car back on the road. Those trim rings came with the car when I purchased it. Like you, I prefer the radiused type vs. the sharp angle type and got lucky that they were already on the car.
