I have Edelbrock VC on a BBC that do not have baffles. I'm going to try to fashion my own by tapping some threads and putting a piece of sheetmetal in there.
Anyone have any ideas on how thick this aluminum is so I don't over drill?
You would be better off making some small 1/2" alum blocks and tapping them with threads and having them welded into place. You could also use hex nuts and try jb-weld to hold them in place. The covers are thin enough that you couldn't drill enough to get a thread in them before punching through.

I don't know why I always forget about JB Weld. :D
Thanks....
