I have one. They are VERY close to a dyno, and they are fun to play with on the street. The G meter I mean. I would never test 0-60 or 1/4 mile on the street. Not me, never.

I have a Gtech that I had to put up on the shelf...I found it made me speed...(even more than usual :D) I needed to put it away before I got any tickets or worse. I tried it at the track once...I don't remember the numbers, but it was fairly close.
I know you just got yours, but if someone wants an electronic "toy" to play with, I'd recommend an Innovate O2 recorder before the Gtech...even better, get both.

I've got a GTech RR... played with it for one night in my daily driver and haven't touched it since. The one thing I didn't realize when I bought it is that it only works right on flat roads and tracks. Finding any flat stretch of road around here is about impossible.

I was a little surprised about this restriction... my understanding was that GTech had bought the technology from Banks, and I was a beta tester for the original Banks Dynafact Inertial Dynamometer. The Dynafact worked fine on hills, although it had to have a VSS input in addition to the accelerometer, and had to be programmed for lift and squat angles.
