hi everyone,
my heads are finally available from world. the 235cc motown 23*.
should i get the mech/hyd cam type w/ 1.437" single 125 lb seat .600 max lift or
solid roller cam 1.550 single 200 lb seat .700" max lift heads?

im looking for the most power for my 454 small block

on the bill mitchell website the springs are dual on both heads but in jegs they are mis-represented

Bigger spring pocket (1.55" BBC spring) is the better choice of the two. You do not need a lot of seat pressure, just enough to keep the tappet on the cam. The BBC spring is taller (uses longer valve stems) than the smaller 1.437" spring so you will be able to run more lift without worry of valve keeper hitting the seals.

they say to use offset rockers for the longer valve stems. what would be a good choice?

The offset rocker is due to the width of a 235cc port.

Crane Gold offset roller rockers would be a good choice, but by the time you buy studs, guideplates, and rockers you could go with a set of Jesel SS shaft rockers (or equivalent) for the same price and be way better off.
