Along my troubleshooting process I bought a ready to run dizzy. When I disconnected the 6AL and pro billet dist and installed this one the car started and ran the same except that I had to turn up the idle a bit to make it run. What would cause the idle to be so much lower with a the ready to run compaired to the 6AL setup? When I put back the 6AL I had to turn down the idle quite a bit. Weird..just wondering.

Spark not as hot first thing comes to my mind. 6AL multistrikes at lower rpm to get complete combustion. Thats what msd means, multiple spark discharge

I had an MSD billet ready to run on my old 350, and it also idled better and started much easier with the 6AL connected. Until the 6AL died after a few thousand miles.
