The wife said, "lets go to wal-mart today". Yeah, right!
They're sneaky aren't they.
Took it out on shasta yesterday, now I've got a 2nd degree sunburn.
But I am really happy I went with a boat like this instead of all motor & no seating.

Who's ready to drive up to shasta? LOL :)

The only thing better than owning a boat is a buddy that owns one.

I used to go on the Ill. river alot. I would pass a log and say there is a 2000$ log. My passenger would look at me like ? Its fun to watch tugs chew um up but for me its 2000$

The day you buy it and the day you sell it will be the two best days of owning a boat. That being said, I miss mine when it's 90* around here, otherwise good riddens.

wtg on your new boat hope you enjoy it.i wanted a new 1 last year but camaro killed my budget. so i bought a 88 wellcraft 23 ft cuddy cabin. only i did was so wife got a potty in it lol. it will tow skiers also. like all said boat i spent 1500 bux since last year trailer cost me 1200 and 3 hundred for alternater and belts and maintenance. but you got new say under warranty fix it lol.:beers: also get tow insurance from west marine. remember also new laws in boating you need to go through a safey boating class.by depending on when what year you are born in.

That's funny, The camaro is starting to look like a hole in the asphalt to throw money in. :)

I blew the rearend out of the RS again. She' crippled pretty bad this time. I might have taken the tranny out with it this time.
Havn't had time to tear it down yet to know for sure, but she's never been hurt this bad before.

Me & the wife have been boating for years, that's why I bought new. Nobody elses headache, with dependability & warranty.
We never really had to throw money at our other boats, no more than a second vehicle anyway.

What I REALLY like about this boat, NO wood in the hull, anywhere. Nothing to rot overtime, no "soft spots" in the floors a few years down the road.

Alot of new technology with hull design & material used. Fuel injection is sweet too.
She's back at the dealers monday for extras, then to steel audio for a bump up in tunes. Allready has a nice Kenwood system with CD & Captains remote, I want more bass at full throttle.
Which by the way, I'm not suppose to do for the first 20 hours.
Break-in for the motor & outdrive they say.

Not exactly sure what top speed is, but 3/4 throttle is 45 MPH, I figure 60 probably. Maybe 65.

I can see myself dragging this one to Tahoe this summer. LOL :)

Steve...nice boat!

With the advent of new technology today...boats are much easier to maintain now. Like you said...no wood anywhere to rot, better mechanicals, etc.

That being said...use it and have fun! Just keep it serviced correctly and you shouldn't run into any problems. A lot of people buy boats...use them once and then let them sit for two years...with no battery tender...no fuel stabilizer, etc.....then they take it out to the lake and expect it to start up right away and run "right". If you plan on not using it for a while...take the necessary precautions...but for some reason I think that you will be out and about enjoying your boat...LOL

Oh BTW...sunscreen is a must! Take it from someone who's already had 14 skin cancer surgeries...with probably that many more to come...:(

Nice boat! I bet it didn't come with those brochure shown optional weight planers........I don't think I'd order them either, they look waaay too high maintenance.......

You did not blow 40K! You just invested in your fun factor, by 40K reasons. Life is short, and if a guy can swing a nice toy like that, go for it. Nothing more depressing than sitting home all the time. Good luck with it, Mike.

Now that is some funny stuff............I have never been able to find the bottom of my "Asphalt holes", no matter how hard I dig. Its all good though, if you were meant to be tight with your bucks, you would collect rocks..........

I couldn't survive without a boat. I've been boating for 18 years now and it's the best escape to kick back with. I like fishing as well(got a couple of walleyes over the weekend) and just floating in a tube. I've had really good luck with used boats and I've broken even or made money on almost all of them. Old boats and wiring can definitely be a nightmare. Good luck with the new boat. :beers:

Nice boat SteveO - I've heard good things about them.
You're really gonna love that EFI
They start and run correctly EVERY time!
You may need to trade that prop off for a better bottom end - not to may people I know ski near 60+ - even "Barefoot Dave" :D

On you way over to Tahoe just stop off at Donner - nicer lake and private dock with free beer (if I'm up that week ;) )
Hope to hook up with you someday if you head up to the Truckee/Donner area - maybe a Team Camaro ski weekend :D

So you have one of those nice summer homes on the lake huh? :) Spennnndy! HEY EVERYONE, JOHN'S GOT MONEY!!!! LOL :D

I've been on Donner once with a jet ski. It is a nice lake.

Thanks guy's, I was hesitant to do it a first, but now I'm happy about it.
I've got 3 friends on the RR dying of cancer right now. If I don't do it now, I never will.

Hey Dayton, remember that primered 67 on the trailer at the show in Anderson?
I talked to the guy, and it started to get ugly.
I looked at the cowl tag. It was no SS.
The guy insisted it was because he has all the documentation, original 327, & the VIN said so.
I told him he was wrong & he started to get pissed.
But I got even madder at him when he said he wanted , get this, $20,000 for the shell!!!
Because it's an original SS and it's worth it!
I said "good luck with that dude", and a few more choice words.

I walked around the show after that telling everyone it was a fake, spread the word. LOL :)
What a d_ ck!

The car that looked like it had been shot with primer the previous night?
The car where you ripped the paper away in the engine bay in order to see the cowl tag?
$20k?:noway:

So that guys a 'Duck' huh - I hate guys that act like ducks ...

You're right Steve - live for today (to some extent anyway ) and enjoy the family time
Hopefully there is treatment and care available for your RR buddies to get them through this. Having recently dealt with getting my wife through treatment, I can see that the support from others was even more important to her than the medical process. Hopefully they can get the support they need also.

Uhmmm - yes, we have a place on the lake ...
But I'm farrrrrrrrrrrrrr from the spendy crowd :o
All my neighbors are though - I bum beers from them all the time :D
We're gone a good part of this summer due to family schedules and a wedding on the east coast. Hope to be back and spend a few weeks at the lake in late August or so. I will stay in touch and let you know when we're up there, you're more than welcome to tow over and spend some time.
Do you ski? or you more the tube and :beers: type :D

Funny how the mood changes when someone finds out you know their car is nowhere near as represented ...
Been in few of those situations during prepurchase inspections - not a fun time for all involved.
As Reverend Jim Ignatowski used to say "just nod knowingly an walk away" ...

Keep in touch;
John M
