Have any of you guys tried using Snap tint? I'm looking to tint the windows of my 03' Cadillac Deville down to about 20%, the law prevents the front windows from being tinted, so i'm thinking limo tint will look goofy on just the back half.

The car is silver, is there a certain shade that will look particularly nice?

You guys know me i'm not shy on spending what it takes to do things right, but i do like to do it myself.

never heard of snap tint. im in nj also and laws stink.i know some florida cars have a light brown tint on them.its see through also.you really dont notice it from the outside but inside everything is a light brown tint.maybe go to some tinting places get some laws and colors on it like you want them to do it.than get it and do it yourself lol.ive seen alot of do it yourself tinting and you can tell it bubbles or peels off after 6 months also.or they screwed up and when window is down all of window doesnt have tint on it.:beers:

if you really want to tint the front windows as well go for it. Here in Cali, we have the same type of law but i would have to say that 75% of the cars on the streets here have some level of tint on the front windows. I've never heard of anyone getting pulled over just because of window tint issues so unless you plan on attracting a lot of unwanted attention i would say do what you want.

I got a fine in the mid 90's for tint on my 85 T-bird and I wasn't doing anything wrong, also i had to remove it within 5 days and have an inspection mechanic sign a paper and send it back to PennDot but that was here in Pa.

lol, i'll leave the fronts alone, but i can tint the back windows. .....i might put a very light tint on the fronts just to take the edge off in the summer, and save my leather seats.

When I lived in San Diego I had 5 fix it tickets for tint. After the first one I just bought two windows from the junk yard and changed them out. The last one I went home and put y tinted windows back in. The next day pulled over again!! Cop asked why I did not get it fixed before. I told him I did. Sat on the side of the road for 30 minutes, late for work while he was talking to the CHP officer the signed the ticket off. When he came to the car he handed me another ticket and said "I will keep you spending more mney on tint than it's worth". I told him "no you will not, I have 2 sets of windows, these and ones that are not tinted, give the ticket and i will drive home now and fix my tint prblem and have the ticked signed off with in two hours".

He tore it up and desided to pull me over for exhaust decible readings a few times and equipment inspections like operational lights turn indicators etc.

I honestly can not say why the guy was such an ass and was picking on me?? I guess he just did not like me??? Never got another tint ticket though...........go figure. I was pulled over in Arkansas for tinted windows with my lifter Toyota 4x4 with Ca plate when I first moved here. The Sheriff told me he was going to warn me about tinted windows and that they are not legal to have in this state. I asked really tinted windows are not legal. He said yes no tint of any type. I asked then why does your patrol car have such dark tint...........Have a nice day were the next words. I was then stopped about 4 times in the next month. Finally went and complained to the county judge.

i guess its a toss up then, i mean i know dozens of people with the front two tinted on all sorts of cars that have never been pulled over so i guess it just depends on where youre driving through and what kind of mood the cop is in that day.
