View Full Version : Ok, getting some Jegs sub frame connectors, got question? SSMAN69 May 7th, 07, 08:49 PM Do they actually bolt up with out floor modifications? Jegs says they do. You'll have to remove the forward leaf spring 'cup' mounts of course so you can place that end of the frame connector under the spring mounts. There are a few threads in the Brakes and Suspension forum on this subject. SSMAN69 May 7th, 07, 09:05 PM If they are bolt on then, yes, bolt on with no other modifications. Will go there now. jaguareats May 7th, 07, 09:29 PM yes they bolt on bolt them to back spring perch and than bolt to rear bolt on frame to transmission than drill holes to frame to strengtened them or weld them in place.:beers: pdq67 May 7th, 07, 10:21 PM Excellent by me!! pdq67 SSMAN69 May 8th, 07, 06:22 AM yes they bolt on bolt them to back spring perch and than bolt to rear bolt on frame to transmission than drill holes to frame to strengtened them or weld them in place.:beers: "Then", What does the transmission have to do with anything? pdq67 May 8th, 07, 10:24 AM He mean's rear of tranny on the two ends of the subframe is all.. Just poor choice of words, imho.. Roll-on.. pdq67 SSMAN69 May 8th, 07, 11:39 AM He mean's rear of tranny on the two ends of the subframe is all.. Just poor choice of words, imho.. Roll-on.. pdq67 Gotcha. ron498 May 8th, 07, 12:53 PM One thing to note. Once you weld them in, you can't replace the clip nuts for the rear spring perches. so if you break one, it's a difficult repair. Problem is, if you replace the clip nuts ahead of time, make sure you get good GM parts. I have heard that the aftermarket replacements break very easily. I have the Jegs parts on my Nova. They work well, and I welded them in. Ron pdq67 May 8th, 07, 01:07 PM Read this "sticky" about "Clip-nuts"...... http://www.camaros.net/forums/showthread.php?t=83635 I like the heavy-duty tempered sheetmetal punched cone shaped and roll-threaded ones!! Suckers are way better than stock to me!! And good old "Cornholio" told to use a small floor jack as a third hand to push them up into position AND I'm here ta say it work's GREAT!!! I don't know where he's been lately?????????? pdq67 |
