I am positive that this one will show up as a real "Z" in the next year or so...even though the seller is stating that it is indeed a repro tag...30K seems like a lot of $$ for it !!!

This car has been on ebay before, and I think discussed here as well.
Considering that he states the tag is a repo, I don't see a reason to cover the BDY number.

Look at what he says about the car from what I see it sounds like he is saying the car is not a real Z/28 but is built to Z/28 specs, or to look like one. (This car is a really well restored 69 Camaro that happens to be built to Z/28 specs)
What do you think?

From the ebay ad:
This is a reproduction tag, the car was originally an X11 327 4-speed, but the build date and fisher body number are the original ones. All castings and dates are based on this build date. The VIN number is the original one, all registration is in order with a free and clear California title.

I do. He is smart enough to know that giving the body number hurts the value of the car to the scammer that will buy it and flip it.

Dave, We all know why he is covering the BDY number. Another scammer just doing his part to put more bogus cars on the street. We all know in a few years that this will be a "real" Z. You can't make a clone with all the right parts w/o changing the TT??????? BS!
Another statement from his ad.
"Currently there are no numbers stamped on the pad, and the buyer will get to decide which numbers they want stamped. The guy who does most of the concourse Corvettes lives 5 minutes from me and will stamp the block"
