This is just a general question for anyone. I have a 68 RS/SS, L78, 4-Speed, M-22, 12-bolt. Car does not have the original motor, but another 1968 396 motor, car comes with warranty book and protect-o-plate to verify car. Have had over 400 hits on car, but not one call or e-mail? Am I missing something? Do not feel it is priced out of line for condition of car. Just curious as to why no interest in this type of car.

Any input would be appreciated.

I saw your ad the day you put it up and thought it was fairly priced and would sell quick. I am surprised you have not had more action.
The negatives I see are that fake POP's are so common, without the original motor, it's hard to tell. What else is original to help verify? If you have the rear end and transmission numbers that match the POP you should put them in the ad.
The paint looks nice, but is not a Camaro color and the original gold is not a big seller either. Incorrect emblem placement, steering wheel, heater hoses and little stuff like that detract, but are not deal killers.
It's a very nice car, I think you can get your price if you do a few small things to make it more stock appearing and put more numbers information in the ad. You may also need greater exposure, where else is it advertised?

It is in the classifieds on this site. I think it would help to post a link to photobucket or other page where the engine, trans, and rear end numbers, along with any pictures of documentation may be seen. Also, more detail pics of the car will help, the posted pics are too small to get a good look at anything. Most cautious buyers will look past a car of this caliber without details. There are just too many scams out there.

Car is listed here in the Classified section, for 1968 cars. Bought car to try and restore, family health issues forces the sale of the car. I know there are little things to be corrected, emblems, I do have the original Delux strg wheel for car. Original color is Ash Gold, that is why I have not repainted, will leave that to next owner to go original or another color. Tried to find numbers, trans has the 3925660 on case, have not been able to find a number or letter on axle. Just felt this was a good start for this model of car.

Just to follow up on car, I have new emblems, new bumble bee stripe kit for nose, have replaced a lot of items on car, gas tank & sending unit, new seat covers, shift bezel & emblem, radio delete plate, new alt, master cyl, new brakes, wheel cyl, brake lines, h/light sw, frt spoiler, new hoses for headlights and actuators, new rad, shroud, water pump, and more. So, you can see, a lot has already been done. Took off orig stg wheel to give myself more room to drive car, still have it. Also, have set of 17" Torque Thrust wheels with brand new tires that I had on the car, but decided to go with original look. Any one need tires and wheels?
