I did manage to scrape the paint of the front side (beside the waterpump) of my "new" 327. There are 2 sets of numbers that I can see. The one with larger fonts reads: T0913CKH7 and the row with smaller fonts reads: 17B423636.

I have not yet been able to see the numbers at the back of the engine but still trying to..

Can you please tell me if the engine is of a truck or what..??

CKH = 1972 307/130 hp, powerglide or
1973-74 350/160-175 hp (L48) manual trans

The partial VIN appears to be from 1977 so double check the numbers and get the date code and block code from the back of the block.

The partial VIN is from a Baltimore product built in 1977, and they built "A"-bodies (Chevelle, Monte Carlo, El Camino, etc.); in '77, "CKH" was a 350/170hp 4-barrel used in Chevelle and Monte Carlo. :thumbsup:
