How do you read the exhaust manifold date code? I have a set of small block manifolds with 3942527 8179 and 3946826 8269. These are for a 69 Camaro ss 350 with a build date of 03D. How do you decode the date codes on the manifolds?

the date codes on the manifolds should have a "B" not an "8" at the begining.

I think you'll find that the first digit is a "B", not an "8", so they're February 17th and 26th, 1969, which works for your car. The first digit of casting dates is always a letter, not a number - easy to confuse "B" with "8". :thumbsup:
