i wasnt driving when Duck broke but this is what i was told.
She (the driver) was just getting off the interstate when the truck started slipping. then stopped at a stop light and when she pushed on the gas again, it wouldnt move. engine never died. i check on it later and tried all gears, nothing. there wasnt any grinding of gears. i havent looked in the pan yet. any one want to tell me where it start. the tranny was rebuilt about 10000 miles ago. i was thinking the torque con.

Check the fluid level and look for a leak.

if fluid checks ok and it won't move forward or reverse it probably is the torque convertor.

When asking these types of questions it is helpful if you list what type of transmission.

It could be a converter but it's less likely than other possible problems.

Input shaft, forward clutches, etc..
