I thought that when you ordered a 69 Camaro with just the RS package you could not get a big block. Look here.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/69-CAMARO-427-POWERED_W0QQitemZ290113356839QQihZ019QQcategoryZ61 61QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Obviously a built car. Nice looking, but built. Not even a real RS. Only COPO's could have a 427. Only way to get a BB was an SS with the 396 upgrade and the RS option was an addition. Many things here to pick apart if you wanted to. The builder seems to have built a COPO clone.

I sent an email to the seller of this car and asked him about the engine. His response was that it is not original and that it is a 68 427 and it has been in the car for 30 years. Also, the car has always been in that area.. I asked him about the engine emblems in front of side marker lights. He said that the car never had any. My question is, could you get a 69 with no engine emblems? I am not for sure.
Either way it is a nice car but I think there might be alot of questionable items on it.

There are a lot of cars on eBay that are built cars. 99% of those bidding for them have no idea they are built.

Ken, you could get the RS package with ANY other option packages. It was a totally seperate option that did not affect drivetrain or other parts. You could get RS 6cyl or RS 396 or RS anything.

I knew you could get a big block with an SS, SS/RS or COPO but not in a Camaro with JUST an RS package. I was told you could order a 69 Camaro with the RS package only, with either a small block or 6 banger only. Could someone verify this question?
Thanks,
Ken

Any big block car would be an SS (396) or a COPO (427). There is no such thing otherwise.

RS option was available on ANY Camaro 1967-1973 REGARDLESS of engine size.

Only the COPO's had no fender piercings for engine emblems.
