I Thought i'd try this again i hope someone can help. I want to redo my 67 standard grille. I want to put it back to stock with the chrome showing on trim. Click link below to see pic.
http://images.cardomain.com/installs/214000-214999/214503_46_full.jpg

I circled and numbered the measurements I need.

1. How wide is the chrome down to where the black starts?

2. How wide is this chrome area that you can see when looking down on it, and how far does it go into the gully? Is there black paint behind the grille or is it chrome, and if it's black what is that measurement?

3. Exact same thing for this area.

4. How wide is the chrome up to where the black starts?

5. How wide is the chrome on the bezel and how wide is the chrome on the trim? probably the same as area 4.

Is the whole outside of this trim chrome or was some of that black too. Thanks

Hi Ramjam, Your grill looks like stock to me from what I can see. Did someone paint it in the past to freshen it up? It looks like mine.

Hi,
That's not my grille, this is. I used the other one because you can see the chrome areas I need measurements on.

Ah, I see what ya mean now. I'm not sure an exact measurement is going to be needed. The stainless edge that you see may roll back on the flat part 1/8? or so. I don't think it's very critical IMO. I'll try & check my grill today sometime and look at it closer.

I have an original standard grille, but I don't quite understand the question..I believe just the vertical sections are exposes stainless. I have both pieces in NOS, so if you can explain better, I will take a measurement

Hey, Thanks for trying 67RS and Panther. Panther you have an RS so your grille is not standard you have hideaway h/lights.

MWC, Yes pics will be fine as long as they're close-up the pic below has numbered red circles these are the areas 1 thru 7 I need to know. If you can take close-up pics of these areas. Your choice whether you want to email me or post them.

BTW: This pic is not my car it's just the best one I could find that has the look I need and it's still not close enough to tell.

From what I see for #1the top/front is chrome just to the the end of the round. Where it goes flat on the bottom it starts black. So just past the curved part it is black. This is the same for the bottom piece of trim for #4.
As for #2 the black on top stops just at the start of the curve under. For #3 the chrome is on top and stops just after it curves under.
The headlight parts have the flat around the outside edge as chrome and the inside by the headlight is also chrome on the flat part facing out. The sides closes to the turn signal is chrome on the side from top line on the side curve to the bottom line of the curve.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you want some pictures.

Thanks MWC, That's helping to clear it up but I could still use the pics if it's not too much trouble.

RamJam, the 67 on my signature I don't even own anymore. I keep unchecking the box as not to have it post, but it keeps posting anyway. I DO have a 67 SS with a standard grille and a set of NOS upper and lower moldings

My apologies, Panther

Panther, doesn't your grille look like the one I posted or do you mean horizontal strips. There should be more chrome then just the 2 strips.
