I have a really good question. Well to me it is a good question. In the 67 assembly manual, UPC L48, sheet A4, has some numbers for emblem placement on the fender. In view "C", what does the -45 and 20 actually mean? The same goes for the next page, which has -45 S.V. UPC V31 sheet A1 which has 10 P.V. There are many other pages, but I thought I would just name a few. Any help? Thanks..

They are dimensional references based on the Jig that held the front end assembly (doghouse) at the assembly plant. The Horizontal 0 reference is basically the firewall and negative numbers are inches forward of the firewall, positive numbers are rear of the firewall. The vertical reference was part of the jig and starts about 4" below the bottom of the fender. There is no reference to the body that will give you the exact 0 point for vertical numbers.

I beleive S.V is "Side View" P.V. is "Plan View" (Top view looking down)

In short, the numbers are not useable by a body man or mechanic. Unlike my employment working with jet aircraft, the station numbers can actually be used for placement. Oh well, I appreciate your expanation. Thanks.
