View Full Version : front clip AJSZR2326 May 10th, 07, 02:48 PM does anyone have chris allstons front clip for the 1st gen? Dayton68Z28 May 10th, 07, 03:09 PM yep AJSZR2326 May 11th, 07, 09:05 AM curious on your thoughts on the chassis? i've had to buy so many small parts from them to fit properly like headers ,mounts ,ect. is yours on the road yet? i have their frame connectors too. was wondering what your thoughts would be on the rear suspension to match the front? Dayton68Z28 May 15th, 07, 10:10 AM My car is 70% done. Besides ChassisWorks front clip w/power rack, I used their Canted 4 link. Made our own subframe connectors. Bought lots of small parts from ChassisWorks DSE and Dougs Headers. http://img165.imagevenue.com/loc580/th_45096_IMG_0787_122_580lo.JPG (http://img165.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=45096_IMG_0787_122_580lo.JPG)http://img136.imagevenue.com/loc424/th_45104_IMG_0794_122_424lo.JPG (http://img136.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=45104_IMG_0794_122_424lo.JPG)http://img175.imagevenue.com/loc569/th_45108_IMG_0792_122_569lo.JPG (http://img175.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=45108_IMG_0792_122_569lo.JPG) AJSZR2326 May 16th, 07, 09:44 AM dougs headers fit? i had to buy the ones from chassiworks not sure if they made them or got them from another? what do you think of their 4 link rear section? was it easy to install? i ended up having to change my steering column too. Blade May 26th, 07, 06:53 AM What knuckle did u use for the rack? Dayton68Z28 May 29th, 07, 10:32 AM dougs headers fit? i Yes. Only had to noch a small piece on the bellhousing on pass side. Also, the only clearence problem with the 502 was that the oil pan didn't clear. And, the dist was up against the firewall. Changed to a BB Milodon oil pan and recessed the firewall. Problem, http://img134.imagevenue.com/loc401/th_53460_P1010006-4_122_401lo.JPG (http://img134.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=53460_P1010006-4_122_401lo.JPG)Problem fixed, http://img152.imagevenue.com/loc843/th_53528_cowl_122_843lo.jpg (http://img152.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=53528_cowl_122_843lo.jpg) The 4 link was difficult to install. Not for me, but for my two friends who are doing the fab/body work. With the mini tub, 4 link and roll cage, the back half of the car was completely cut up. http://img154.imagevenue.com/loc991/th_55000_P1010019-10_122_991lo.JPG (http://img154.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=55000_P1010019-10_122_991lo.JPG) http://img18.imagevenue.com/loc653/th_55007_P1010021-5_122_653lo.JPG (http://img18.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=55007_P1010021-5_122_653lo.JPG) http://img169.imagevenue.com/loc465/th_55905_P1010018-11_122_465lo.JPG (http://img169.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=55905_P1010018-11_122_465lo.JPG) The floors were custom built(Raised) to accomodate the 3" exhaust. I now have plenty of ground clearence. Matt, the knuckle for the rack came from Flaming River. Same place where I got my polished tilt steering column. http://www.flamingriver.com/index.cfm/page/ptype=results/category_id=76/home_id=82/mode=cat/cat76.htm AJSZR2326 May 29th, 07, 12:44 PM same as me flaming river but even then i had to increase the angle on the column so it would clear the headers and i had to notch thebar the knuckle sits in to set screw it. Blade May 30th, 07, 05:56 AM sweet thank you for the link.
