Well got all my pieces to fix the rear end in the 67 the #1 son blew up last weekend. Swapped out the housing, put in new detroit locker. What I need to know what are the torque specifications for the ring gear and the carrier bearing bolts on a 9 inch ford. Anybody know? I can't find it in any of my motors manuals. Well guys this "little" problem has cost about 600 bucks so far. Kids.

The ring gear bolt torque is 65 foot pounds and the bearing cap bolt torque is 70. Use Loctite on the ring gear bolts and oil on the bearing cap bolts.

Did this rear end have a Traction Lock in it? Is it the part that broke?
