Hopefully someone can do me a favor. If you happen to have your gas tank out of the car and the sending unit not installed, could you please stick a tape measure in the sending unit hole and measure from the bottom of the tank to the sending unit mount? My tank is a cheap repro, and it measures 7". Unfortunately, my stock sending unit only goes down a touch over 5". I'm leaving quite a bit of gas in the tank before I run out. Me thinks this repro tank wasn't made to factory dimensions. Thanks very much.
