i have an 86 camaro v8 305 and i want to take my ac unit out, do i need to change something w/my pulley set up, i have 5 pulleys....i hear it increases horse power. I dont use it anyway i figured i might as well take it out.......any other suggestions as to what i can take out

It will decrease the value of the car. It doesn't consume any horse power (it is a full all bearing idler unless activating the magnetic clutch. It does add close to 120 pounds to the total weight of the car so you could knock about 0.120 sec off your ET by removing it. At the minimum you will need to buy a new fan belt, and may have to rearrange the accessories on the front of the motor depending upon how GM laid out the accessories without AC.

Exactly. Decrease value of car. Past 2 cars I've had to get rid of were kid creations gone wrong. First thing they do is rip all the pieces out that an adult with money in his pocket is looking for.

if he keeps all the parts he can put them back on then he wants to sell it
