Just looking for anyones opinion who might be familiar with a Weiand Stealth Dual Plane Manifold ? It is installed on my 462 BBC. (Actually, going to be a 490 now) Just looking for pros/cons of it and whether or not i should keep it. Was running Holley 850 Double Pumper. Any better suggestions for new motor? Thanks ahead of time.

Best dual plane in my opinion is an Edelbrock Air Gap.
But it depends on what rpm this motor is likely to see.
You may be better off with a Victor Jnr.

It's a fine intake, imho!!

Let's put it this way, if it was on my engine, I wouldn't remove it and buy an RPM Air-Gap!!

I ran one on a small black and liked it a lot. I don't know how it behaves on a motor that big, but I'd be inclined to agree with pdq67... I would imagine it's close enough to the Air Gap that you'd be hard pressed to see a difference between the two.

I think Vizard did some dyno testing years ago and it made the most power for a dual plane compared to a few other popular dual planes.

Sorry to butt in, but with my combination as below, my 60 ft times are hideous, 2.3-2.4, would this Wiend Stealth be a better set-up for me than the Victor Jr I'm running. I run all street or 1/8th mile drags. Just don't seem to get off the line worth a damn, but haven't put the slicks on yet either. I've asked this question a few other places, still hoping to get more good suggestions. Thanks a lot guys.

if it hook a dual plane may help, if it spins then a dual plane will make it worse

RJ, I doubt your intake has anything much to do with your 60fts.
I'd be more interested in gearing and tuning in general.

I'm running one on my small block. It may be a tad big for my 327 but my engine still responded well to the Stealth. IMHO, I don't think you would see enough difference switching to an E-Brock RPM to make it worth the effort.

Thanks guys. I like to hear all the opinions on small questions like these. I guess thats why we all are here in the first place, eh.

I think I'll just stick with it for now then, and see how she runs. Once it is up and running, and I feel like spending a few new dollars, I might look into an entire new intake and carb setup, with all of your opinions on the best of course.

Thanks again guys !
