I am beginning to put the interior back in my 68 after putting the DSE sfc in and a rollbar. My question is how does the carpet fit since the connectors are so much in the car? What is the best thing to do to make it look the best? I am a little ways from installing the carpet but want to make sure I have everything when it is time. I know a lot of you have installed the connectors so I would greatly appreciate any insight!!!!

When you put padding down...the sfc are barely noticeable.

So the jut padding doesn't make the carpet look FUNKY or just laid over a bump? Do I need to add extra beside of the bars?

i used a kind of hard foam and cut it to fit on the sides of the SFC's it took some time but it looks great .

I just put in the DSE SFCs and new carpet. It looked OK but I went ahead and used four pieces of 1 inch foam cut to fit the floor next to the SFCs and 1/2" foam over the tunnel to take up some space. Then I ;ut the carpet in just like normal. The foam helps smooth the transition especially on the outside where the transition is shortest.
