Hello, I am having most of the sheet metal replaced on my 67' coupe and was wondering what the best order of replacement would be. The metal to be replace is as follows: inner and outer rocker panels, full GM quarters, tailpan, inner and outer wheel wells, full trunk, trunk drop offs and extensions. I haven't gone over this with the body shop yet that will be doing the work but wanted to check here first to compare the opinions. Thanks

I find it hard to believe I'm the only one that has a car that has needed these panels replaced! The owner of the shop said he won't be able to see the extent of the damage until it's stripped but I'm pretty sure all the existing panels I've listed in my previous post will need to go. Again, any advice is appreciated.

Well, theres probably gonna be a difference in how one would do it at home and how a shop with the right equipment may do it. Personally, Id start with the rockers and work my way back. If the shop has a frame jig or something similar, I would imagine they could tear most of it loose at the same time without having to worry about it getting out of square.

personally Id do one side at a time working from the inside out.
