Just got a pair of new pillar post moldings (black). What color black are the original ones painted? The new ones came in a gloss black, but I think they are supposed to be satin black.

Is plastic primer worth the effort?

Mike, my 67 has blue interior and the A pillar mouldings match and are satin. I'm not a painter so I can't comment on the primer. Rob.
