Guys,
I am looking at RPO cdes for 1969 Camaro's. Were there really only 47 Camaro's made in 1969 with the front shoulder belt option? http://www.chevy-camaro.com/chevy-camaro-RPO-codes-year.asp?year=1969
I find this hard to believe. Only 47 cars made with the front shoulder belt option? Does that mean the driver & passenger in the front of these things on all but 47 Camaro's made in 1969 were secured by nothing other than lap belts? Come on!! This figure has got to be wrong. I have seen base V8 cars with nothing more than a 307 or 327 or even the plain jane 350 engine's have front shoulder belts. These belts fold in half at the top of the headliner when not in use. Then you unfold it and snap it into the buckle and you are good to go.
Question: When GM says only 47 cars do they mean only 47 had the shoulder belts at the headliner that you unfolded and placed them across your shoulder before or after you buckled your lap belt? :noway:
